--- Botanical Identification of Dragon's Blood:
Resina Draconis: Dragon's Blood(XUEJIE).
A resin derived from the fruit of Calamus Draco, Willdenow
(Daemonorops Draco, Blume).
Common Name: Dragon's Blood, Calamus Gum
Uses of Dragon's Blood:
It is used as a colouring matter for varnishes, toth-pastes, tinctures, plasters, for dyeing horn to imitate tortoiseshell, etc. It is very brittle, and breaks with an irregular, resinous fracture, is bright red and glossy inside, and darker red sometimes powdered with crimson, externally. Small, thin pieces are transparent.
Medicinal:
The resin of Dragon's Blood is used externally as a wash to promote healing and stop bleeding.
Internally it is used for chest pains, post-partum bleeding, internal traumas, and menstrual irregularities.
2. AGARWOOD, EAGLEWOOD, ALOESWOOD
--- These are just afew of the names for the resinous, fragrant and highly valuable heartwood produced by Aquilariamalaccensis and other species of the indomalesian tree genus Aquilaria.
Specifications: Very sweet aromatic smell, well dried.
3. CANDLE NUT OIL
